This year, the theme of the annual August pedagogical meeting was «Education of Sevastopol: unified approaches to training and education, value orientations, development strategy.» The governor of Sevastopol, teachers of all educational institutions of the city took part in the conference. In his welcoming speech, Mikhail Razvozhaev noted that education in Russia is reaching a qualitatively new level.
A lot of work has been done over the past year. As the head of the State Council Commission on Education, he took part in innovations related to education and the creation of a unified educational program. Society cannot have common values as long as each school has its own educational program, as we had until recently. Everything new is well-forgotten old, and we understand what trends in education we are returning to— quotes the press service of the Government of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev.
There are 177 educational organizations in the education system of Sevastopol, in which 98,456 people study. There are 6,000 teaching staff.
The task for the near future is to reduce the bureaucratic burden on teachers, which takes a lot of strength and nerves. The most important and long-awaited event is that we have moved off the dead center on the issue of providing service housing for teachers. By next August, the houses will be handed over, and from promises we will move on to specifics, the governor notes.
Within the framework of the federal project «Modern School» on the basis of the «Institute for the Development of Education», a center for continuous professional development of teachers was opened.
Under the Zemsky Teacher program, 28 teachers have been employed in rural schools for the entire duration of the program.
We progressively solve all assigned tasks. A high result is achieved exclusively by team efforts, the contribution of each of you: educator, teacher, college teacher, teacher of additional education, director and manager of the education system in our common cause — the education and upbringing of children. No other profession can compare with such massive gratitude. Colleagues, it is important that the profession is in demand. The prestige and interest in pedagogy among young people is growing, a record 355 thousand applications have been submitted to pedagogical universities for pedagogical specialties throughout the country in this admission campaign, the governor says.
During the conference, for many years of conscientious work, high professional achievements, a significant contribution to the development and improvement of the quality of education in Sevastopol, the governor presented certificates of honor to the best teachers.
Five teachers were awarded the honorary title «Honored Worker of Education of the City of Sevastopol». These are Victoria Duboshey, Lyudmila Krylovetskaya, Galina Polishchuk, Irina Stroilova and Tatyana Kalenikina.
Over the past four years, five new schools for 3,249 students have been built and put into operation in Sevastopol. Now the construction of four more educational institutions is being completed. In addition, major repairs are underway. Last year, there were six facilities in four schools. Now there is a major overhaul of eleven facilities in seven schools.
The network of preschool education is also developing. This year, a kindergarten in the Gagarinsky district and a kindergarten in the Leninsky district were put into operation. Together it is 440 seats.
The main event of 2022 was the full-scale opening of the Altair Center for Identifying and Supporting Gifted Children as part of the Success of Every Child project. Equipment was purchased and the premises of the center were renovated.
The renovation of the infrastructure and equipment of school sports grounds continues. Since the beginning of the implementation of the project “Success of every child”, the conditions for physical culture and sports in boarding school No. 6 and nine rural schools have changed significantly: No. 17, 20, 28, 33, 46, 47, 52, 55, 30.
