CrimeaPRESS reports:

Employees of the road patrol service of the State Traffic Inspectorate of Armyansk stopped a Skoda Fabia car, driven by a 22-year-old young man with signs of intoxication. During the investigation, it was established that the driver does not have the right to drive a vehicle, and was also previously brought to administrative responsibility for driving while intoxicated.

State Traffic Inspectorate officers suspended the driver from driving and offered to undergo a medical examination, but the man refused to undergo a medical examination.

Administrative materials have been drawn up against the driver under Part 2 of Art. 12.26 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (failure by a driver of a vehicle who does not have the right to drive a vehicle to comply with the legal requirement of an authorized official to undergo a medical examination for intoxication), as well as under Art. 12.7 Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (driving a vehicle by a driver who does not have the right to drive a vehicle)— said the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.

An investigative team was called to the scene for further investigation. The vehicle was seized and placed in a specialized parking lot. In addition, a criminal case has been initiated under Part 1 of Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Driving a vehicle by a person subjected to administrative punishment for driving a vehicle while intoxicated). The sanction of the article provides for a maximum penalty of imprisonment for up to 2 years.
