In Saki, patrol officers quickly detained a man who damaged a car.
The duty station of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs «Saki» received a message from a resident of the Saki district, who said that an unknown man broke the windshield of a foreign car parked on the street. The amount of damage amounted to 159 thousand rubles. The very next day, patrol officers identified and detained the attacker in the city of Saki. He turned out to be a 34-year-old fellow villager of the victim— said the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.
The suspect admitted his guilt and explained that, while intoxicated, he damaged someone else’s car out of hooligan motives.
A criminal case was initiated under Part 2 of Article 167 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Deliberate damage to property for hooligan reasons”). The sanction of the article provides for a maximum penalty of up to five years in prison.
