Busts of special operation heroes to be installed in Sevastopol Victory Park
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Today, a rally dedicated to the Defender of the Fatherland Day was held on the Alley of Heroes in the Sevastopol Victory Park. Addressing its participants, the governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, promised to install busts of heroes who died during a special operation in Ukraine in the park.
We pay tribute to our heroes, we thank the families of the guys who gave their lives for our Victory. The memory of their feat must live on, and we are doing everything for this. Thanks to the efforts of the “We are Sevastopol” foundation, we got the Alley of Heroes, a public organization was created that united widows. We will continue this work: squares, state facilities will be named after our guys. It is logical that busts of our guys also appear in Victory Park. This is a lot of work that we will do together.— said the governor of Sevastopol.
Vyacheslav Rodionov, Deputy Commander of the Black Sea Fleet, supported the governor’s proposal.
Our Black Sea warriors gave the most precious thing they had — their lives. Defending the national interests of our Motherland, they are heroes for all of us, they are an example of how to serve their Motherland and fulfill the assigned tasks. Our mission is to never forget them.— Vyacheslav Rodionov emphasized.
The Dean of the Sevastopol District, Archpriest Sergiy Khalyuta, proposed to rename the square of cadets in Victory Park.
Today I would like to appeal to the governor of the city of Sevastopol Mikhail Vladimirovich, to the chairman of the Legislative Assembly with a request to rename this square into the square of the Heroes of the Special Military Operation. This will be an important moment for those wives, mothers, fathers who come here every day to «talk» with their husbands, sonssaid the Reverend.
Recall that in the fall of 2022, the Alley of Heroes of the NVO appeared in the Victory Park in Sevastopol. Members of the RBOO «We are Sevastopol» together with the relatives of the dead soldiers planted 72 cypresses. Each tree symbolizes the memory of the deceased member of the NWO. In addition, today, next to the seedlings, plates with the name and a QR code appeared, which is a link to a brief biography and merits of each of the soldiers.
