The Gulfstream Charitable Foundation is opening a new enrollment for the free course “Social Volunteering.” To register, please fill out the form by October 15, 2023.

Program:

1. Classes on the educational platform Stepik (23 lessons, 2 hours of video and 33 tests). Participants study the needs of people with mental disabilities, sensory impairments and musculoskeletal disorders, and learn in detail about borders and shelters.
2. Pro classes for those who are ready to help teenagers with disabilities get involved in the world of professions on the Stepik educational platform includes 16 lessons. Participants study the skills and competencies of volunteers, sort out myths and misconceptions about people with disabilities, and prepare to create an educational product for teenagers with disabilities.
3. Online meeting with a specialist once a week (training) on ​​Mondays. During the lessons, volunteers will undergo psychological tests, receive answers to their questions directly from an expert psychologist, and learn about effective communication, teamwork, customer focus, stress resistance and self-presentation.

Who can participate? Any person over the age of 12.

What will you get?

• Increasing the level of awareness of emotions among project participants, developing the ability to constructively express feelings and understand the feelings of another person.
• Increasing the level of self-awareness of project participants, creating motivation for further self-development through participation in real assistance to those who need it, and the formation of a responsible citizenship position.
• To develop among project participants an interest in applied psychological knowledge, the ability and desire to understand and correctly evaluate the behavior of other people, including people who are very different from themselves.
• Uniting project participants, building mutual trust, learning the ability to work in a team, including those of different ages.
