Checks on the roads of Crimea

CrimeaPRESS reports:

During the day, Crimean police officers identified four drunk drivers and one violator who was on the federal wanted list. As the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea clarified, road checks are carried out in Simferopol, Sudak, Saki and Nizhnegorsky district.

Currently, criminal cases have been initiated against them on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Driving a vehicle while intoxicated by a person subject to administrative punishment or having a criminal record).

In the Belogorsky district, as a result of operational search activities by employees of the criminal investigation department and inspectors of company No. 1 of the OSB DPS of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea, a 43-year-old resident of the Nizhnegorsky district, who was on the federal wanted list, was identified. When checking the information databases, it was established that the citizen was hiding from the investigative bodies for almost a month in a criminal case initiated by the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Nizhnegorsky district under Part 2 of Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Driving a vehicle while intoxicated by a person subject to administrative punishment or having a criminal record)— said the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.

The attacker was detained, handed over to the initiators of the search and placed in a temporary detention center.

The State Traffic Inspectorate of Crimea reminds drivers of the inadmissibility of driving while intoxicated.

For driving while intoxicated, the driver may be deprived of the right to drive a vehicle for a period of 1.5 to 2 years, and the violator also faces a fine of 30 thousand rubles. Repeated driving while intoxicated or repeated refusal to undergo a medical examination will result in criminal rather than administrative penalties.the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea reminded.
