Citizens of draft age, take note. There is a summons to the army — not a foot abroad

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Conscripts will be prohibited from leaving Russia from the day the summons is posted in the online register.

Citizens who are subject to conscription for military service and who have received a summons will be prohibited from leaving Russia from the day such a summons is placed in the register of served summons. This follows from the amendments to the second reading of the bill, which initially allowed citizens raising three or more minor children to conclude a contract to stay in the mobilization human reserve.

According to TASS, amendments are being made to the law “On the Procedure for Departure from the Russian Federation and Entry into the Russian Federation”. According to the current regulations, citizens who are subject to conscription for military service and who have received a summons from the military commissariat are prohibited from leaving the Russian Federation from the day when such a summons is considered to be served by law. The new rules clarify that the travel of such citizens abroad is prohibited from the moment such a summons is placed in the relevant register.

The bill also establishes that a ban on leaving the Russian Federation as a temporary measure aimed at ensuring the presence of a citizen in the military registration and enlistment office is applied from the day the summons is sent to the citizen, including at the place of work or study, for subsequent delivery. The decision to ban the conscript from leaving the Russian Federation will be formed by the military commissariat on the day the summons is sent to the citizen.
