«Constellation of Champions» The best athletes and coaches were awarded in Crimea

The head of the Republic of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, took part in the “Constellation of Champions” gala event in honor of the best athletes, coaches and veterans, sports organizations in Crimea at the end of 2023. At the beginning of the event, the military orchestra of the 126th Separate Guards Coastal Defense Brigade of the Russian Federation performed, then a minute of silence was announced in memory of the athletes and coaches who died in the Northern Military District zone.

Welcoming those present, Sergei Aksenov expressed gratitude to everyone who stands up to defend the interests of the Motherland:

Crimean athletes participating in the special operation bring our common Victory closer, often at the cost of their lives. Eternal memory to the fallen.

Sergei Aksenov emphasized that Crimean athletes have always been distinguished by the will to win, patriotism and love for the Fatherland.

Even today, our athletes help increase the recognition of the Republic of Crimea both within the Russian Federation and abroad, at their own level they fight against the information blockade, strive to complete all assigned tasks and do not forget about their small Motherland,” noted the Head of the Republic.

In 2023, Crimean athletes won 1,428 medals at sports championships, cups and championships in Russia, world championships, Europe and international competitions.

Sergei Aksyonov added that work on the development of sports and physical culture continues in Crimea: infrastructure facilities are being built and reconstructed, sports grounds are being installed, and opportunities are being sought to increase the salaries of coaches.

The head of the Republic of Crimea once again confirmed the readiness of the authorities to assist the sports teams of the Republic in organizing trips to competitions and purchasing the necessary equipment.

Sergey Aksyonov noted the athletes and coaches with Gratitude from the Head of the Republic of Crimea, and also presented well-deserved awards in the nominations “Best Sports City”, “Best Sports District”, “Best Athletes and Coaches of the Republic of Crimea in Olympic Sports”.
