Crimean cities are among the top most popular destinations for autotourism this year

We all know that a car is no longer a luxury, but a means of auto tourism. Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, recently stated that in 2023, Russian citizens made 78 million trips, which is 21% more than in the previous year, 2022. At the same time, a third of all domestic trips are made by autotourism. This is not surprising — traveling by car is more profitable and comfortable. In addition, the iron horse provides its passengers with more degrees of freedom.

According to the Russian hotel and apartment booking service TVIL.RU, in 2024 the popularity of this type of tourism increased by 10%. The demand for such a service as car parking is in 4th place when booking housing. As a rule, 2-3 people travel in a car, on average 5 days. Where exactly are they going? TWILL. RU analyzed those requests where parking was required and identified the most popular destinations for auto tourism,” noted the service’s press service.

Sochi took first place among road travel destinations in 2024 with 19% of all bookings. St. Petersburg is second, and Anapa is third (9% and 8% of bookings, respectively). Let’s see how much these trips on the “iron horse” will cost tourists.
