Crimean schoolchildren will be able to take part in the competition “Science. Territory of Heroes»

The fourth season of the popular science competition “Science. Territory of heroes.» As the Republican Ministry of Education clarified, the competition is held under the national project “Science and Universities”, which is being implemented by decision of the President, and is part of the “Science to Win” initiative of the Decade of Science and Technology.

The purpose of the competition is to increase the interest of young people and teenagers in modern science by involving them in a specialized game, to introduce them to the profession of a scientist, to show its real significance and to help interested young people realize their career potential. The winners of the competition will have the opportunity to undergo internships at the largest world-class scientific centers in Russia,” noted the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Crimea.

Schoolchildren in grades 5-11 and students can take part in the competition. The competition will be held in five stages, each of which includes three types of tasks: “scientific volunteering” (here the participants’ activity on social networks will have weight), “scientific interest” (fun and simple scientific questions) and “scientific aspirations” (questions for connoisseurs). You can participate in all three branches in parallel and win prizes in each individual category.

The first stage of the competition will take place from September 21 to October 11, 2023, the second stage — from October 12 to November 1, 2023, the third stage — from November 2 to 8, 2023.

The semi-finals will take place from 11 to 19 November 2023. Participants who did not make it to the finals will be able to take part in an additional stage and, united in groups, solve a scientific problem together with a mentor. The final of the competition will be held on December 10, 2023 in an offline format at the international exhibition and forum “Russia”. The best semi-finalists of the competition will attend one of the key events of the Decade of Science and Technology — the III Congress of Young Scientists, which will be held in the Park of Science and Art on the Sirius federal territory from November 28 to 30, 2023.
