“Crimean Spring in Chersonesos”: the museum-reserve invites you to a celebration

On March 17, from 10:00 to 13:00, the museum-reserve will host an event in honor of the 10th anniversary of the reunification of Crimea and Sevastopol with Russia. The holiday was organized jointly with the My History Foundation, the Crimean Metropolis and the Sevastopol Deanery. Free master classes, a concert program for children and adults, a charity fair, themed excursions, an art alley and much more await the participants of the holiday in Chersonesos.
From the very morning in the Byzantine courtyard there will be a charity pancake fair “Treat and Rejoice”, presented by pupils of Sunday schools of the hero city. Workshops on making ceramic brooches, mosaics, bracelets, waterproof bags and badges from recycled plastic will be organized for children and adults. On March 17, participants of the holiday in Chersonesos will be able to take part in the “Letter to a Soldier” campaign: write warm lines to the soldiers and say how proud they are of them, how much they love their defenders and how they are waiting for them to come home. Both kids and older children will love the “Making History Together” art alley on the main street, where they will be invited to paint themed drawings.
At 10:00, 13:00 and 15:00 thematic excursions “Chersonese. Akhtiar. Sevastopol” dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the reunification of Crimea and Sevastopol with Russia. Visitors will learn about the unique monuments of Chersonesus, about the exploits of the inhabitants of the ancient city, about the foundation and stages of development of the museum in this territory, as well as about what awaits it in the near future. The cost of a ticket for the excursion is 600 rubles for adults and 300 rubles for children. On March 17, from 10:00, a children’s entertainment program “Spring comes with pancakes,” dedicated to Maslenitsa and farewell to winter, will take place in a tent in the Garden of Miniatures of Tauride Chersonese. Folk games and fun, a historical quiz and painting of gingerbread will delight young visitors to the museum-reserve and give them bright emotions.
A festive concert program “Connecting the Shores” will await guests in the Byzantine courtyard. From 10:00 to 11:00, young artists of the folk song and dance ensemble “Zabava” of the Balaklava Children’s and Youth Art Center will perform, and from 11:00 to 13:00 — ensembles “Rus” and “Play Harmony!”

We remind you that for residents of Sevastopol, access to the territory of a cultural institution is free (upon presentation of original documents confirming the presence of permanent or temporary registration in the hero city).
