Crimean women win two medals in women's wrestling competitions as part of the All-Russian Summer Spartakiad

In the capital of Tatarstan, Kazan, competitions in three types of wrestling (Greco-Roman, freestyle and women’s) continue as part of the 1st All-Russian Summer Sports Contest.

The day before, August, the women’s wrestling tournament ended. Representatives of the Crimea won two medals — «gold» and «silver». Master of Sports of Russia Alina Kasabieva from Simferopol (coaches — Ignat Grek and Oleg Kudukhov) became the winner of the Spartakiad in the weight category up to 24 kg. In the quarterfinals, our compatriot defeated Muscovite Angela Fomenko (4:0), in the semifinals — Yulia Kovalenko from Stavropol (on the carcass), and in the final — Anastasia Yakovleva from Chuvashia (6:1) , reports Krymsky sport».

Another athlete from the Crimean capital, Master of Sports of Russia Amina Tandelova (coaches — Ignat Grek, Valery Tedeev and Lena Khetagurova) took silver in the weight up to 65 kg. Amina confidently reached the final. In the quarterfinals, Maria Lachugina from the Voronezh region was defeated (9:0), in the semifinals — the Muscovite Kristina Ashikhmina (on the carcass). Unfortunately, the Crimean woman did not come out to the decisive fight with Ekaterina Koshkina from Tatarstan due to an injury.

One step away from the podium (she took the fifth place), Master of Sports of Russia Kristina Mikhneva from Sevastopol stopped. In the «small final» (fight for «bronze») in the category up to 57 kg, she lost to Irina Ologonova from Buryatia (0:5).

In total, 121 an athlete from 21 region of the country took part in the competition. Ten sets of awards were drawn.
