Educational program: The State Registration Committee of the Republic of Crimea does not deal with state registration of citizens at the place of residence

The State Committee for State Registration and Cadastre of the Republic of Crimea does not deal with state registration of citizens at the place of residence (registration), this issue falls within the competence of the internal affairs bodies. Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Register Yulia Zhiganova recalled this.

Goskomregister is the executive body of the Republic of Crimea, vested with the powers of state registration of rights to real estate and transactions with it. Thus, department employees carry out cadastral registration and formalize citizens’ rights to houses, land plots, apartments and other real estate established by law.

According to Yulia Zhiganova, cases have become more frequent when citizens, using modern digital services, send appeals to the State Registration Committee, the decision of which relates to other government agencies. As a result, both department employees and interested parties waste time on unnecessary correspondence.

Increasingly, we are receiving questions regarding the state registration of people at their place of residence, as well as the provision of information about persons registered in residential premises. It is clear that the concepts of “registration of residential premises” and “registration in residential premises” sound similar, but the registration of citizens is carried out by the internal affairs bodies. It should also be noted that with the advent of the mobile application “Government Services. Let’s decide together” (aka Feedback Platform, POS) it became more convenient to send your requests: a person wrote a letter via special form – it must go to the right authority. However, according to information from the Ministry of Information of the Republic, currently the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Crimea is not yet connected to working with the Feedback Platform. Therefore, it is still advisable to send requests regarding registration issues to the Ministry of Internal Affairs not through the PIC, but through the main established communication channels.
