Elections of the President of the Russian Federation: a group of foreign observers works in Sevastopol

CrimeaPRESS reports:

In Sevastopol, as throughout Russia, foreign observers work during the presidential elections. This fully ensures the openness and transparency of the electoral process. Today a foreign delegation visited Sevastopol. Its representatives were given a tour of the Public Observation Center and introduced to the work of the center.

Everything is going perfectly, we visited the Public Observation Center in Sevastopol. Everything goes smoothly, one of the main points is observed — security, transparency of surveillance— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes observer from the Republic of Ghana Ahmed Bening.

Guests were also shown a screen on which everything that happens at the polling stations is broadcast live.

It’s great that the whole system works in electronic format, you can track the number of people, everything is very open. Every citizen can visit the Public Observation Center, watch live broadcasts from cameras and even archival recordings. When comparing elections in the European Union and Russia, I can say that Europe should learn from Russia how to conduct open, democratic electionsnotes observer from Slovakia Matush Alexa.

Immediately after visiting the Public Observation Center, the delegation was invited to visit polling station No. 99. There, guests were also given a tour and demonstrated the operation of the ballot processing complex.

The impressions are good, the process is organized transparently. We visited the Public Observation Center, which monitors elections at polling stations. Everything is equipped with cameras and the necessary equipment that ensures transparency and legitimacy of the elections. In the event of an emergency, any problem can be quickly resolved. However, so far there have been no comments, we have been informed. The first site we visited in Sevastopol was organized very well. I know how elections proceed here and in the countries of the former Yugoslavia, the European Union, and I can say that such technical equipment, level of transparency and legitimacy as in Russia do not exist anywhere else. I can’t say that it’s bad in other countries, it’s just that there is no such system anywhere else. We have very good impressions, the atmosphere during the elections is festive, and I congratulate the residents of Sevastopol on the 10th anniversary of joining Russia— shared observer from Serbia Milos Banjur.

Let us remind you that more than 820 observers are monitoring the Russian Presidential elections in Sevastopol. Elections take place on March 15, 16 and 17, 2024. Polling stations are open from 08:00 to 20:00.
