From May to September 2022 in Sevastopol and other cities of Russia, the military-patriotic maritime project «Our flag is our pride» is being implemented. It is dedicated to the Day of the State Flag and brings together representatives of the sphere of patriotic education of youth from the regions of the Russian Federation located on the Black Sea coast.
The main goal of the project is to instill in young people respect and pride for the country and its heroes, to form the foundations of patriotism and understanding the importance of protecting and supporting Russia’s interests in the modern world. Project activities include maritime tourism to places of military glory, studying the history of the southern maritime region of Russia and the Navy, as well as the basics of maritime professions. So, in July 2022 of the year, three complex seminars «Jungs of the Fleet — hello!» will be held, in which 300 people will take part. They will learn about the history of the national flag, the personal experience of participants in sea voyages, and watch a documentary film about projects being implemented in the Black Sea. Also, the guys will get acquainted with the project and the upcoming route of the sea voyage «Sails of the Black Sea Memory 2022» , — the press service of the Government of Sevastopol reported.
Information events will be held from July to October 2022 of the year. As part of the Navy Day, Nakhimov Square will host an exhibition of project materials on the history of the state flag of Russia, as well as a broadcast of a documentary film about sea voyages and the importance of the state flag for maritime professionals.
Also, within the framework of the project «Our Flag — Our Pride», from 9 to 23 August, a yacht trip «Sails of the Black Sea Memory» will take place. The task of the project participants is to carefully deliver and deploy a specially made canvas 16 meters long with the image of the Russian flag, flags of organizations and institutions and the slogan «Russia is a sea power» in places holding solemn and memorial events along the route of the hike.
In September 2022 a documentary film will be made about the history of the state flag and its meaning, the history of the Black Sea Fleet, the importance of decisions taken by the country’s leadership to preserve the security and integrity of the country. In addition, the process of implementing the project activities and passing the route of the sea voyage will be shown. The documentary film will be created on the basis of the media center of the Black Sea Fleet.
Recall that in May — June 2022 of the year, within the framework of the Our Flag — Our Pride project, open lessons were held on the topic «The History of Russia and its State Symbols» for students and pupils of educational and sports organizations — these are youth aged 12-18 who is interested in maritime and tourism.
