Exhibition “Russia” at VDNH: events dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the reunification of Sevastopol with Russia were held

On March 18, Sevastopol widely celebrated the 10th anniversary of its return to Russia. At the exhibition-forum “Russia” in Moscow, this day was also held in a special way: from the very morning there was a solemn procession “Crimea, Sevastopol — Russia forever!” The participants carried flags and flowers in their hands and charged everyone around them with a good mood.

The presentation “Together into the Future: 10 Years of the Russian Spring” took place in the cultural projects area of ​​Pavilion 75. Representatives and ambassadors of the regions spoke about how Sevastopol and Crimea are developing and what projects have been implemented since 2014 — Deputy Governor of Sevastopol Maria Litovko, Andrey Granichka and Ilya Averbukh, Nail Izmailov and Samvel Sarukhyan, Rem Akchurin, Alexey Lipko and Valery Zakharyin, Dmitry Gachko and Sergei Pershin, Oleg Zubkov and brothers Edgard and Askold Zapashny, Anton Shkaplerov and many others.

This is a city where you look to the future with confidence. Over the past 10 years, the population of Sevastopol has increased by one and a half times. At the Sevastopol stand, the new week traditionally began with the raising of the Russian flag and the singing of the anthems of the country and the Hero City. The flag was raised by the ambassador of the stand — the head of the executive committee of the All-Russian Popular Front in Sevastopol, Larisa Melnik.

Sevastopol is the birthplace of the Russian Spring; it is very symbolic that it is on the day of our reunification with the Motherland that the results of the presidential elections in Russia are announced. This is certainly a historical event that cannot be overestimatednotes Larisa Melnik.

The festive day was also full of various master classes, quizzes and games. In the evening, guests were treated to a concert “Sevastopol Symphony” by the Sevastopol Symphony Orchestra together with the State Kremlin Orchestra.
