Farewell, “ten”… Simferopol resident paid for drunk driving with his car
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The prosecutor’s office supported the state prosecution in a criminal case against a car enthusiast — a resident of the Crimean capital. Simferopol resident was found guilty under Part 1 of Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (driving a vehicle while intoxicated by a person brought to administrative responsibility for a similar act).
The court found that the convict, having been brought to administrative responsibility for driving a vehicle while intoxicated, did not draw the appropriate conclusions for himself, and after drinking alcohol again began to drive a VAZ 21100 car. Moving along Heroev Stalingrad Street in the city of Simferopol, the man was stopped by traffic police officers, he refused to undergo a medical examination— said the prosecutor’s office.
The court, taking into account the opinion of the state prosecutor, sentenced the man to a fine of 50 thousand rubles with deprivation of the right to drive all types of vehicles for a period of 2 years 6 months. A VAZ 21100 car belonging to the convicted person was confiscated to the state. The verdict did not enter into legal force.
