Police are conducting an investigation into an accident in Sevastopol, which resulted in the death of an 84-year-old female pedestrian. As the regional Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs clarified, the tragedy occurred this afternoon (at 12:20) on Tokarev Street.
In the area of house No. 13 on Tokarev Street, a 51-year-old driver of a Mercedes Benz truck hit an 84-year-old woman who was crossing the road at a designated unregulated pedestrian crossing. As a result of the accident, the pedestrian died on the spot from his injuries before the arrival of the ambulance team.the police said.
Employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate and the police investigative team worked at the scene of the accident. The circumstances and causes of the traffic accident are established. An investigation into a traffic accident involving a deceased pedestrian is being carried out, based on the results of which a procedural decision will be made.
