Feodosia and Yalta are in the top of popular summer road trip destinations
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Today, the slogan «Beware of the car» is no longer relevant. A car is not a luxury, but a means of transportation and the traveler’s first friend. According to joint research by the National Association of Automotive Tourism and Caravanning and the National Agency for Financial Research (NAFI), today every third traveler in Russia does this with a car — his own or rented. And in the high season — caravanning is often the only alternative. Tickets can turn out to be not just expensive, but inaccessible. Another nuance is the closure of many airports. In addition, autotourism makes available places “where trains do not go” and other public transport.
According to the Russian vacation rental booking service TVIL.RU for the summer season 2023, the availability of car parking at the place of accommodation is a requirement that is in third place in tourist requests. This is 15% of all requests and this condition is ahead of even the proximity of the sea (12%)— noted in the press service of the service.
The Russian service for booking hotels and apartments TVIL.RU has identified the most popular destinations for traveling by car in the summer of 2023. In the first place was Sochi, followed by 20% of summer bookings from car tourists. The second is Anapa, and the third is Gelendzhik (12% and 6% of bookings, respectively).
