Fire “in nature” near the Crimean village of Tankovoe

The day before — at 16:52 — the State Institution of the Republic of Crimea «Fire Protection of the Republic of Crimea» received a signal about a fire in the area of the village. Tankovoe, Bakhchisarai district. The duty shift of the PC was sent to the place. Upon arrival, it became known that dry grass and bushes were burning outside the settlement. There is a threat of further spread of fire to the nearby forest area. Given the lack of access roads, the fire was extinguished using firecrackers and Ermak backpacks. Thanks to the prompt and coordinated actions of firefighters, the spread of fire was prevented. Within 20 minutes the fire was localized and extinguished. There were no casualties. Experts determine the reasons, but as practice shows, the cause of many such fires is almost always the human factor. Despite numerous warnings from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, unfortunately, people are still negligent about fire safety measuresnoted the press service of the emergency department.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea reminds residents of the peninsula of the need to comply with fire safety rules:
- do not leave garbage in the forest, especially cleaning material soaked in oil, gasoline or other flammable material;
- do not set fire to reeds, do not burn dry grass under trees, in forest clearings, in gardens, in fields;
- do not light fires near buildings and structures, as well as in forested areas
- in order to prevent the spread of fire from dry grass to buildings, carry out plowing and mowing on your personal plot;
- do not allow children to play with matches, lighters and other sources of open fire, because children’s pranks are one of the most common causes of fires.
If you become a participant or witness to a tragedy, accident, or find yourself in a difficult situation, you must immediately contact the rescue service using the single emergency number — “112”. Take care of yourself and your loved ones!
