Fireworks in honor of the Defender of the Fatherland Day will be held in nine cities of the South of Russia

Salute divisions of the Southern Military District (SMD) will fireworks in honor of the Defender of the Fatherland Day in nine cities of the South of Russia.
Artillerymen will perform volleys from guns and launchers in Rostov-on-Don, Volgograd, Vladikavkaz, Stavropol, Novorossiysk, Kaspiysk, Sevastopol, Kerch and Novocherkassk on February 23 at 21:00 Moscow time— the press service of the Southern Military District reports.
During the fireworks, more than 50 guns of various types will be involved, including 122-mm D-30 howitzers, 76-mm ZiS-3 divisional guns, as well as 2A30, 2A85 salute launchers, 105-mm fireworks launchers PFC «Rainbow» and 125-mm fireworks launchers PFC «Raduga-M».
Artillery crews of the Southern Military District will fire 30 volleys at 30-second intervals, using up about 5,000 different types of ammunition.
