For the Day of Russia, the largest geographical contour of the country was created in Artek

Almost 3000 schoolchildren from all regions of the country united in action «We are children of Russia». At the Central Stadium, Artek built the largest geographical contour of the Russian Federation and a living inscription: «Artek, Russia.» So symbolically, the children showed how great Russia is, and called on all citizens to unity and harmony.

«Artek» can be called «Russia in miniature», every shift here gathers guys from different regions — from Kaliningrad to Kamchatka. Here comes the understanding of true friendship and a feeling of happiness — to live in a big and strong country. On the eve of Russia Day, Artek residents shared this feeling with each other and with all Russians.

Almost 800 children from all regions — participants of the sixth shift «Artek: enter your login and password» — gathered at the Central Stadium. To the anthem of the country, the Artek people lined up in the geographical contour of the Russian Federation, which took more than 4 sq. m., and created a living inscription: «Artek, Russia».

«Arteke», every child learns to value friends and help loved ones. The task of adults is to make sure that all their energy and talent are directed to the benefit of their Fatherland. And for this, children need to know the history of their state, the culture and traditions of the peoples inhabiting it. And also — to love Russia and cherish the opportunity to learn about it as much as possible. All the events that take place in the children’s center are aimed at this, and today’s action «We are the children of Russia» , — quotes the press service of the director of «Artek» Konstantin Fedorenko.

Brightness and performances of creative teams gave the event a special sound. Young artists sang and danced in costumes of different nations, presenting the cultural diversity of the Motherland in its entirety.

Artek residents told each other about the history of Russia Day and honored state symbols. At the end of the action, the guys called on their peers to respect the coat of arms, the anthem, the tricolor, since they contain the history of Russia and the achievements of previous generations.

We all worked with contour maps in the lessons. And today we are creating a living contour of the country. There are so many guys from different cities around! It helps to simply physically feel what a huge country we have. Today I made a wish: to travel all over Russia and see the most beautiful places , — shares Victoria Shukolyukov from Yekaterinburg.

I came to Artek from the most distant region, from Kamchatka. 8 hours by plane and by train! And it was worth it, because there is such a cool atmosphere and cool people. I am glad that I will celebrate the Day of Russia in Artek, because I am proud of my country. On this holiday, we can unite and remember once again that we are one big people , — says Alina Sysunovich from the city of Elizovo (Kamchatka Territory).

In Artek, I met guys from different regions. I now have friends many thousands of kilometers from Moscow, even in Krasnoyarsk! Russia Day is a holiday that symbolizes our unity. Also, on the Day of Russia, Artek employees solemnly raised the flag of the Russian Federation over one of the main attractions of the children’s center is the Adalarakh rocks. And 12 June, on the festive morning rulers, the tricolor will rise to the masts in all 9 camps «Artek».
