Foresters cannot be offended. The Supreme Court of Crimea confirms

CrimeaPRESS reports:

The Supreme Court of Crimea upheld the sentence of a Belogorsk resident who used violence against a forestry employee.

Earlier, the Belogorsky District Court found a 39-year-old man guilty of committing a crime under Part 2 of Art. 318 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (use of violence dangerous to life and health against a government official in connection with the performance of his official duties).

It was established that at the beginning of May last year, employees of the State Treasury Institution of the Republic of Crimea “North-Western United Forestry” received a message about illegal hunting in the territory of the Krasnogvardeisky district forestry of the Belogorsk district. To clarify the circumstances, forestry workers arrived at the designated area where the convict was located.

In response to the official’s demand not to leave the location until the police arrived, the attacker got into a VAZ car, trying to drive it away from the forestry territory. The employee blocked the convict’s path by standing in the way of the vehicle. Not wanting to comply with the legal demands of a government representative, the convict hit a local forester, who grabbed the hood of the car, while the attacker continued to move forward. After the car braked sharply, the victim fell from the hood,” the prosecutor’s office provided details.

The appellate court found the arguments of the appeal not worthy of attention, upholding the verdict passed by the district court. The convicted person will serve 1 year of imprisonment in a general regime correctional colony.
