The night before, at 18:50, the control panel of the operational duty officer “CRIMEA-SPAS” received information that two people had lost their bearings and strayed from the trail in the area of the plateau of Mount South Demerdzhi and, due to the onset of darkness, could not get out on their own. Rescuers’ assistance is required in search and evacuation.
The duty shift of the Alushta emergency rescue team «CRIMEA-SPAS» was sent to the scene of the incident. Upon arrival at the intended search site, rescuers set out on foot to search for the victims.
As a result, 10 minutes later the tourists were discovered in the area of the plateau in the town of South Demerdzhi. They did not need medical attention. Employees of the State Public Institution of the Republic of Crimea «CRIMEA-SPAS» evacuated them to a public transport stop.
