Skin diseases — diseases that affect the skin and skin appendages: sebaceous and sweat glands, nails, hair. Skin diseases affect people of any gender, at any age. Some diseases are contagious, some are so dangerous that they can be fatal, and therefore require immediate treatment. Skin diseases can appear on the face, arms, legs, and any other places. Often there are skin diseases of the foot — for example, a fungus.
Diagnosis of skin diseases is carried out using various laboratory and instrumental tests, in some cases an examination is sufficient. Many diseases are independent, some are symptoms of internal diseases of the body, for example, allergic skin diseases indicate a reduced immune status. Methods for diagnosing skin tumors include analysis of the patient’s medical history and family history, a complete physical examination, imaging techniques, biochemical and immunological studies, histological examination of the biopsy and tissue, and laboratory studies.— noted in the press service of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Crimea.
