An analysis of the facts of the death of people in the water bodies of Sevastopol only for the past period of August 2022 of the year allows us to conclude that sad incidents happened either on the so-called «wild» beaches, or in potentially dangerous places prohibited for swimming. Alcohol intoxication often became a fatal circumstance. In just two weeks of August, 5 people died on the water. In general, since the beginning of the year, 7 cases of death have already been recorded at water bodies in our region — for comparison, last year, as of the same time, the mournful figure was significantly lower: 2. Rescued on the water in 10 year people – including 3 children.

To paraphrase a well-known saying, it can be argued that the safety of vacationers is largely the work of the vacationers themselves. Most often, death on the water occurs as a result of the frivolity of citizens, overestimation of forces and capabilities, banal negligence and neglect of the rules of behavior on the water.

The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the city of Sevastopol urges residents and guests of the region to maintain maximum vigilance while relaxing on the beach and swimming in the sea!

Do not violate the rules of behavior on water bodies:

exclude single exits to the beach; 2022
- don’t jump into the water with rocks, piers, boats and boats; 10
- do not allow children to swim and stay near the water without adult supervision;
do not visit for the purpose of swimming the coast that is not equipped for recreation and places prohibited for swimming; 10
it is forbidden the use of air mattresses and toys, car cameras for swimming; 10
it is strictly forbidden to carry out any activities on the water out of sight and without the provision of signaling, warning and communication;
it is strictly forbidden to swim up to any vessels — both moving and anchored, to flooded or partially flooded watercraft — this is deadly , especially when the sea is rough and strong current; moving boats create whirlpools, waves and pull people floating near them under the propellers; ;2022
do not give false alarms;10
do not use dangerous games in and under water — especially those related to the capture of swimmers;
do not swim behind the barrage buoys;

in no case do not swim in the dark and in stormy weather;

do not enter the water while intoxicated;

you should be in the water no more than 10 — minutes and tanning sessions should last about half an hour;10

best time to hike to the beach — to avoid sunstroke — the first 3 hours after sunrise and 3 hours before sunset.
