KFU experts recommend: how to prepare immunity for autumn

CrimeaPRESS reports:

After several hot summer months, the human body managed to get used to the sun and accumulate a valuable vitamin resource that will be needed in the autumn period. However, as Irina Sukhareva, Associate Professor of the Department of Public Health and Healthcare of the Medical Academy of KFU, notes, a person must be responsible for his health.

Eating fresh fruits and vegetables in summer strengthens the immune system. Useful berries: raspberries, strawberries, strawberries, black currants, watermelons. Even a simple salad of tomatoes and cucumbers contains many vitamins. Daily 400 grams of vegetables and 200-300 grams of fruits are enough to boost immunity. For example, tomatoes contain important anti-cancer trace elements, and watermelons help cleanse the body. But we must remember that people suffering from a disease such as diabetes mellitus cannot eat this berry in large quantities , — the press service of the university quotes Irina Sukhareva.

Many people wonder why, after an abundant vitamin period, the body of many people is not ready to fight viral and infectious diseases in the autumn season. According to the Doctor of Medical Sciences, Head of the Department of Normal Physiology of the Medical Academy of the Crimean Federal University Elena Evstafieva, for an organism that does not have a powerful adaptive reserve, this period is to a certain extent critical.

As a rule, weather changes or so-called climate swings occur in autumn. Why are adaptive reserves not so significant after the summer vitamin period? Obviously, the problem is in the quality of the products used, which weaken our immunity , — Elena Evstafieva believes.

As the expert notes, when growing vegetables and fruits, agronomists often use various chemicals to control pests or increase crop yields. Such products, getting on the market stalls, and then on the table, can weaken the immune system, which is why the body is so easily susceptible to a wide range of diseases that progress in the fall.
