The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Crimea reported on fire-tactical exercises of the second rank of complexity on the territory of the Respect Hall resort hotel in Koreiz.
According to legend, the fire broke out in the underground parking lot, on the second floor, as a result of a short circuit in the electrical wiring in the engine compartment of a parked car. The fire spread and threatened nearby vehicles. There was heavy smoke in the parking lot, adjacent rooms and the first floor. The simulated fire was accompanied by intense heat flows. Hotel staff discovered smoke and called 101, organizing the evacuation of guests.
Firefighters arrived at the scene and carried out a combat deployment. The fire extinguishing headquarters organized the GDZS units, which, during reconnaissance, discovered 10 people cut off from evacuation routes on the 3rd floor of the building. All of them were taken out of the building and handed over to medical staff. Further work was carried out to localize and extinguish the fire— reported the emergency department.
In total, 11 pieces of equipment and 43 personnel took part in the exercises. Fire-tactical exercises are conducted to practice the actions of facility personnel, management personnel and test the combat readiness of fire departments to extinguish fires in a building with a large number of people.
