Governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev met with volunteers of humanitarian missions #WE ARE TOGETHER

Sevastopol volunteers carried out 200 humanitarian missions in new territories. Today, Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev met with volunteers at the volunteer headquarters «We are together — Sevastopol.» From May 10 to May 19, volunteers from the Resource Center for Supporting Volunteerism and the Volunteer Headquarters «We are together — Sevastopol» traveled to Berdyansk. This humanitarian mission has become the 200th.

In total, over the past year, 7,000 new guys have applied to participate in volunteer missions. And about 3,000 traveled as part of humanitarian missions during the year. This is a huge range of work that the guys did. In total, 30 volunteers from Sevastopol took part in the 200th humanitarian mission, who traveled to the city of Berdyansk from May 10 to 13, from May 13 to 16 and from May 16 to 19. For all the time they have provided assistance to more than a thousand citizens, and together with the regional branch of the All-Russian Social State Movement of Children and Youth «Movement of the First» in the Zaporozhye region, they visited more than 150 children who were presented with toys and flags of the Russian Federation.

The guys worked in temporary accommodation centers, these are guys from different areas, they are psychologists, someone helped directly in the placement and distribution of humanitarian aid. The guys talked about the difficulties that arose there, about the positive practice that they applied in the course of work on the territory of the Zaporozhye region. Because last year we received a group of people from the Kherson region, settled in Izumrud, and today we shared experience, helped our colleagues from the Zaporozhye region— notes the head of the volunteer movement «We are together — Sevastopol» Victoria Kashlyakova.

Since the launch of the Program in 2022, more than 7,000 volunteers have applied to participate in humanitarian missions. During the year, 2,659 volunteers completed 200 humanitarian missions, assisted 700,000 civilians and rescued more than 2,000 animals, 193 people are currently helping on the ground. Volunteers of the Resource Center for Support of Volunteerism, the Volunteer Headquarters «We are together — Sevastopol» and youth organizations spent 101 days in the zone of the special military operation, collected and handed over 400 tons of humanitarian aid in parcels to fighters in the combat zone, handed over more than 250 targeted parcels to the participants special military operation on the line of contact, about three tons of medicines — for civilians and military in the liberated territories. More than 200 tons of humanitarian aid have been sent to the territories of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.

Letters of thanks from the Governor of Sevastopol for active participation in humanitarian missions #MYVMESTE were awarded to the volunteers of the Resource Center for Volunteering Support of the city of Sevastopol: Alexander Veretennikov, Stepan Gavrilenko, Natalya Dubinina, Alina Pokolodnaya, Marina Khandygo, Natalya Chorba, as well as the head of the Department of Patriotic Education of the City Center for Social and sports programs of Sevastopol ”Yana Dobrobabina and specialist in working with youth of the department for the development and support of volunteering (volunteering) Victoria Fomina.

For reference: Since 2022, the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs and the Association of Volunteer Centers have been implementing the Humanitarian Missions #MYVMESTE program aimed at supporting volunteer activities, as well as providing assistance to civilians and socially significant organizations of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. The program is implemented in pursuance of the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation.
