This year, as part of the harvesting campaign, Crimean farmers plan to harvest grain, leguminous and industrial crops from an area of more than 700,000 hectares.
The first work was started at an agricultural enterprise in the Leninsky district — LLC «FH «Antonenko». Winter barley is being harvested now. I note that since 2015, the farm has implemented an investment project «Growing grain, leguminous, oilseeds and essential oil crops in the Leninsky district of the Republic of Crimea.» This made it possible to create new jobs, build blocks of hangars for grain storage with a capacity of 10,000 tons. More than 7.7 thousand hectares of winter grains, flax and coriander are planned to be harvested during the harvesting campaign, — the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Crimea quotes the head of the department.
Andriy Savchuk also reminded that last year a good harvest of grain and leguminous crops was gathered in the republic — about 2 million tons from an area of 533,000 hectares.
For us, this is a landmark figure in recent years. The last time such volumes were collected in Crimea was under the Soviet Union. Until the end of next week, farmers plan to start harvesting early grains in all regionsthe minister notes.
