Home-grown “drug dealers” will be tried in Crimea — they wanted to sell almost 12 kilos of marijuana

CrimeaPRESS reports:

In Crimea, judges will consider criminal cases of attempted sale of 11.5 kg of marijuana. Depending on the role and degree of participation, two local residents are accused of committing crimes under paragraphs “a” and “b” of Part 3 of Art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal sale of narcotic drugs committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy and on a significant scale), Part 3 of Art. 30, paragraph “d”, part 4, art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted illegal sale of narcotic drugs and parts of plants containing narcotic drugs, committed on a large scale).

According to investigators, in June of this year the accused agreed to sell the narcotic drug marijuana. According to the assigned roles, one of the men had to find and deliver the drug to the place of sale, and his accomplice took upon himself the responsibility of searching for buyers of the drug. Using this scheme, the criminals sold about 90 grams of marijuana.

During operational search activities at the place of residence of one of the accused, the criminal case against whom was separated into separate proceedings, 11.5 kg of marijuana and more than 20 kg of parts of hemp plants, which the man intended to sell, were discovered and seized— said the prosecutor’s office of the Republic of Crimea.

Criminal cases with approved indictments have been sent to the courts for consideration on the merits.
