House-Museum of A.P. Chekhov is a participant of the federal program «Pushkin Card»
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Participants of the «Pushkin Card» program from today can visit the famous House-Museum of A.P. Chekhov in Yalta, also known as Belaya Dacha. This is, in fact, the only Chekhov museum in which the original atmosphere has been preserved: the house, furniture, things and even objects are in the same places as they were during the life of the great playwright. It was here that Anton Chekhov wrote the plays «Three Sisters», «The Cherry Orchard», the stories «Lady with a Dog», «Bishop», «At Christmas Time», «The Bride».
Excursion for cardholders includes a route through the open-air exposition — the memorial garden of the writer. According to Anton Chekhov’s idea, it was supposed to be the «Garden of Eternal Spring», where, regardless of the time of year, something should always bloom. To this day, about 30% of the plants that were personally planted by the writer have been preserved in the garden. Also, guests can get acquainted with the permanent exhibitions “A.P. Chekhov: I’m going to the Crimea. I will be in Yalta” and “Man. Writer. Doctor «,» the press service of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Crimea notes.
You can buy tickets under the Pushkin Card program only online on the official website.
REFERENCE. The all-Russian project «Pushkin Map» is being implemented on the initiative of the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin and is aimed at introducing the younger generation to the best examples of art, creative events, and a rich historical and cultural heritage.
