How is the overhaul of the Evpatoria water pipeline progressing — 21 km of main pipes need to be replaced
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Work has begun on the overhaul of the main water pipeline from Pribrezhnoye to Yevpatoria. Old pipes will be replaced with modern ones. The pipes of the new water pipeline are made of polyethylene; this is a completely domestic material with a service life of up to 100 years.
Major repairs of the water pipeline will reduce losses, as well as interruptions in water supply that occurred as a result of emergencies. Work began first in emergency areas.
Currently, work is being carried out on a site in the village of Vladimirovka; 1.5 kilometers need to be replaced. More than a kilometer of trench has been dug, specialists have begun welding pipes— reported the Republican Council of Ministers.
It is planned to replace about 21 kilometers of main water pipelines by the end of 2025. Funds for major repairs were allocated under two federal programs: the State Development Program of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol and a special treasury loan.
Replacing a section of the Evpatoria water pipeline is one of the largest projects this year.
