Important: in Sevastopol, parents of children with disabilities can save paid days off
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Since the beginning of the year, the SFR Branch in Sevastopol has paid 330 parents of children with disabilities additional days off in the amount of more than 4.7 million rubles. In total, Sevastopol parents were paid 1,540 days off in 2023. In accordance with Article 262 of the Labor Code, one of the parents (guardian, custodian) is provided with four additional paid days off every calendar month to care for a child with a disability. Weekends can be used entirely by one of the parents or divided among themselves at their discretion. Previously, unused holidays could not be carried over to the next month or accumulated.
From September 1, 2023, parents can take up to 24 additional paid days off in a row. That is, the family has the right to accumulate rest days and undergo 24-day rehabilitation with the child— the press service of the manager of the Social Fund Branch for Sevastopol, Elena Gaivoronskaya, quotes.
Each such additional day off is paid in the amount of the parent’s average earnings. An application for accrued days off is submitted by the employee on time and in accordance with the schedule previously agreed upon with the employer.
