In Alushta, rescue sailors on duty on the beach saved the life of a man.
At 17:25, the emergency department’s operational control panel received a message that a man had fallen into the water from a breakwater on the “Old Castle” beach in the Alushta municipality and disappeared under the water. Rescuers from the Ministry of Emergency Situations need help— reported the emergency department.
At the scene, it turned out that three rescue sailors patrolling on the beach found a man in the water at a distance of 3-4 meters from the breakwater. They were able to reach him by swimming and transport him to the shore.
Rescue sailors removed the man from the water and performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation on him. Then, until the ambulance arrived, rescuers jointly monitored the man’s condition. Employees of the State Institution of the Republic of Crimea «CRIMEA-SPAS» highly appreciated the work of the rescue sailors and thanked them for the prompt provision of assistance on the water— said the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea.
