In Crimea, a criminal case is being investigated on the fact of an accident in the Simferopol region

On the fact of a fatal accident that occurred on July 16 in the Simferopol region of Crimea, the investigative department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs initiated a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 5 of Art. 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. (“violation of traffic rules, negligently resulting in the death of two or more persons”).

According to the investigation, on July 16, at 20:15 on the highway «Simferopol — Evpatoria», near the village. Skvortsovo, Simferopol district, the driver of a Mercedes-Benz car, moving from Evpatoria towards Simferopol, while overtaking, drove into the oncoming lane, where he collided with a Nissan Note car.

A 51-year-old passenger of the Nissan Note died in an accident. The driver of this car and two minors: a 17-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy were taken to the hospital with injuries. A 19-year-old passenger of a Mercedes-Benz car also received bodily injuries.— reported in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea.
