The Leninsky District Court of the Republic of Crimea sentenced a 32-year-old native of Lenino for using violence not dangerous to life and health against a government official in connection with the performance of his official duties.

During the judicial investigation, it was established that in June 2023, at night in the city of Shchelkino, Leninsky district, the defendant, while intoxicated, committed an administrative offense in the form of petty hooliganism, which was expressed in insulting a police officer with gross obscene language. A police officer who was at the scene of the crime, while performing his official duties, demanded that the hooligan stop his illegal actions. The hooligan was dissatisfied with the lawful actions of the police officer and bit him with his teeth in the area of ​​the right forearm, thus causing bodily harm in the form of an abrasion to the forearmnoted the press service of the court.

At the court hearing, the defendant did not admit his guilt.

The court qualified the actions of the defendant as the use of violence, not dangerous to life and health, against a representative of the authorities in connection with the performance of his official duties as a person, thereby committing a crime under Part 1 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

The court, having comprehensively studied the case materials, taking into account the circumstances of the crime, imposed a sentence on the defendant in the form of 1 year 6 months of imprisonment on the basis of Article 73 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, the imposed sentence of imprisonment was considered suspended with a probationary period of 1 year.

The verdict did not enter into legal force.
