CrimeaPRESS reports:
In Crimea, the prosecutor’s office of the Pervomaisky district approved an indictment in a criminal case against a local resident. He was found guilty under Part 3 of Art. 30, part 3 art. 291.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted mediation in bribery).
According to the pre-trial investigation authorities, in February 2018, the man told his friend false information that he had the opportunity to assist in obtaining a driver’s license. To do this, the accused organized a meeting between the victim and a man who allegedly had to hand over money to officials of the MREO traffic police— reported the prosecutor’s office.
The victim, trusting the accused, handed over money in the amount of about 50 thousand rubles to the intermediary, who had previously been convicted of fraud.
With the approved indictment, the criminal case was sent to the Pervomaisky District Court for consideration on the merits.
