In Crimea, a criminal investigation has been completed against a 37-year-old resident of Simferopol, accused of murder (Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
The investigative department for the Zheleznodorozhny district established that late in the evening of February 14, 2016, at a gas station on Yevpatoria Highway, a drunk man began to find fault with a young man, then attacked him, struck him on the head with a trouser belt buckle and struck him several times in the neck with a penknife. The victim died from his injuries several hours later in the hospital.— said the Sledkom.
Investigators, together with colleagues from the police, organized work to study the circumstances of the murder 8 years ago, during which the identity of the attacker was established and irrefutable evidence was obtained of his involvement in a particularly serious crime. It was also established that immediately after the murder, a resident of Simferopol fled to the territory of another state; he is currently wanted.
The investigation charged him in absentia. The criminal investigation has been completed. The materials were sent to the prosecutor’s office for the purpose of studying, approving the indictment and sending the case to court.
