Stealing gas all winter.
In Crimea, a verdict was passed in a criminal case on the theft of natural gas from a gas pipeline in the Kirovsky district. A 55-year-old local resident was found guilty of committing a crime under paragraphs. «b, c» part 3 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (theft committed from a gas pipeline on a large scale). An excessively economic «craftsman» originally solved the problem of heating his greenhouses.
It was established that the man had illegally tapped into an underground gas pipeline of medium pressure and during the two winter months of last year used gas to heat greenhouses located in the village of Izyumovka. As a result of illegal actions of the State Unitary Enterprise of the Republic of Crimea «Krymgazseti», damage in the amount of more than 300 thousand rubles was causedthe prosecutor’s office said.
The guilty person was sentenced to imprisonment for a period of six months with serving in a correctional colony of general regime. The damage caused by the crime will be recovered in civil proceedings.
