In Crimea, the Simferopol prosecutor’s office approved the indictment in a criminal case against a local resident. He is accused of committing a crime under Part 3 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (large-scale fraud).
According to investigators, the defendant posted an advertisement on the Internet for the sale of fittings. Having received from the buyer an advance payment in the amount of 100% of the cost of the goods, the seller did not fulfill the obligation to send it, and disposed of the funds received in the amount of 900 thousand rubles at his own discretion— said the details in the prosecutor’s office.
The criminal case with the approved indictment was sent to the court for consideration on the merits. An Internet fraudster faces a large fine and imprisonment for up to 6 years.
