CrimeaPRESS reports:

On March 6, the Tavrida printing house handed over the prepared ballots for voting in the elections of the President of Russia to the regional Election Commission.

Chairman of the Election Commission of the Republic of Crimea Mikhail Malyshev and Secretary of the Crimean Election Commission Natalya Bezruchenko informed about the number of ballots produced and the degree of their security.

According to Mikhail Malyshev, two types of ballots were produced: those used in the so-called. “electronic ballot boxes” — KOIBakh and “regular” ones.

Everything meets the requirements for this document: they have a background tangier mesh, they are protected, so there is no doubt that there will be no insinuations regarding the forgery of this document,” noted the head of the Crimean Election Commission.

In total, only 260 electronic complexes for processing ballot papers (KOIP) will be installed at polling stations (only in large ones) in Crimea. So the majority of Crimeans will vote “as usual”: by dropping the completed ballot into a transparent ballot box.

As part of the contract, the joint-stock company “Publishing and Printing House “Tavrida” produced, in accordance with the samples presented, and handed over to the Election Commission of the Republic of Crimea ballot papers for voting used without the use of KOIB, in the amount of 983,816 pieces and ballots using KOIB, in the amount of 494,984. Ballots by decision The Central Election Commissions were based on the number of voters, which was established as of July 1, 2023,” Natalya Bezruchenko clarified.

On March 13, ballots will be handed over to precinct election commissions.

The ballot paper is printed on white paper with a green background security grid located on the front side. The text is placed on one side of the sheet. At the top of the document it is indicated that the ballot is intended for voting in the elections of the President of the Russian Federation, appointed by the Federation Council for March 17, 2024. In the upper right corner of the document there is space for sticking a special distinctive sign of the official ballot — a stamp, as well as for the signatures of two voting members of the PEC and the PEC seal. Without them, the ballot will be considered unofficial when counting votes, and the vote itself will not be counted.

Below is a block with a reminder about how to correctly fill out the ballot for voters. Below it was placed the largest part — information about registered candidates and parts for filling out by voters themselves. For information about each candidate, identical parts of the ballot were highlighted and the information blocks were separated by a straight black line.

In 2024, the Russian Central Election Commission allowed four candidates to participate in the elections. Among them are Vladislav Davankov (“New People”), Nikolai Kharitonov (KPRF), Leonid Slutsky (LDPR) and the current Russian President Vladimir Putin, registered as a self-nominated candidate. The names of the candidates on the ballot were placed in alphabetical order. The information block about the candidates indicated: year of birth, place of residence, main place of work, including the position held, method of nomination (self-nomination or from a political party), the name of the parties of those candidates who belong to them, as well as the status of participants in them.

Let us remind you that voting in the presidential elections of Russia this year will be held for three days: March 15, 16 and 17.
