In Crimea, married men most often dream of barbecue during the May holidays

In a service survey SuperJob Working representatives of the economically active population took part.

Going to barbecue is a traditional way of recreation for Crimeans during the May holidays. 3 out of 10 respondents will grill kebabs themselves. 5% of respondents were invited to visit relatives and friends. 8% will have time to attend several feasts: they are both invited to barbecue and will fry themselves. 12% have not yet decided on their plans for May. 45% of city residents do not gather for barbecues on the May holidays,” noted the service’s press service.

Men love barbecue more: 46% of them planned such a pastime during the May holidays versus 39% of women. Middle-aged people (from 35 to 44 years old) will host barbecues more often. The higher the respondents’ salaries, the greater the proportion among them who are going to barbecue for the May holidays. Roasting meat is a family affair: those who are married and have children have barbecues more often in May.

Judging by the survey, the most popular type of meat for barbecue is pork. 47% of respondents plan to use it for barbecue. Every fourth respondent plans to use an assortment of different types of meat for barbecue. Every ninth respondent prefers chicken. 6% of respondents each plan to grill lamb and beef shish kebab. 3% — from turkey.

The average planned cost of organizing May barbecues (taking into account everything: meat, vegetables, drinks, etc.) is 2,400 rubles per person.
