Medics and volunteers conducted trips to 11 settlements.
Specialists of the Center for Public Health and Medical Prevention, together with representatives of the Crimean Republican Branch of the All-Russian Public Movement «Medical Volunteers», took an active part in the All-Russian campaign «Welcome to the Village», organized within the framework of the national project «Health».
As Vladimir Meshcheryakov, chief freelance specialist of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Crimea on medical prevention, said, from April to July, medical workers and volunteers made trips to 11 regions of Crimea. In three outpatient clinics and eight feldsher-obstetric stations, the participants provided assistance in beautifying the territories adjacent to medical organizations, held master classes in first aid and preventive work with the population.
Almost 100 people were familiarized with first aid techniques, more than 368 people were informed about the principles of proper nutrition, the need for an active lifestyle and the perniciousness of bad habits. In the course of providing assistance to local doctors during preventive examinations of minors in rural areas, specialists from the Center for Public Health and Medical Prevention conducted anthropometric measurements 19 schoolchildren,” the press service of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Crimea reports.
In addition, in the course of the implementation of the activities of the All-Russian campaign “Welcome to the Village”, a survey was organized on the subject of public awareness of the risk factors for the development of non-communicable diseases, the dangerous consequences of bad habits and attitudes towards a healthy lifestyle. The survey was completed by 100 people. During the campaign, doctors and volunteers distributed 1 200 copies of visual information of a preventive nature.
Summing up the work done, Vladimir Meshcheryakov notes that the annual “Welcome to the Village” action helps to raise public awareness about the prevention of dangerous diseases, the principles of healthy lifestyles and the main rules for providing first aid.
