In Crimea, the court recovered about 36 million rubles received from illegal gambling activities

In Crimea, the Sovetsky District Court satisfied the claim of the prosecutor of the Kievsky district of Simferopol to recover from three citizens money obtained by criminal means to the state.
Previously, the defendants were convicted under Part 3 of Art. 171.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal organization and conduct of gambling using gaming equipment outside the gambling zone, as well as using information and telecommunication networks). Thus, three convicts created and led an organized group, from November 2018 to June 2019, knowing that gambling was prohibited in the territory of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, they placed equipment in 7 premises in the cities of Simferopol and Sevastopol, where they organized gambling . As a result of their criminal activities, income was received in the amount of about 36 million rubles— reported the prosecutor’s office.
By a judicial act, the specified funds were recovered as state income.
