In Crimea, the investigation of the case against a resident of Krasnoperekopsk, who beat a homeless man to death, was completed

In Crimea, a criminal investigation has been completed against a 25-year-old resident of Krasnoperekopsk, accused of intentionally inflicting grievous bodily harm, negligently resulting in the death of the victim (part 4 of article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
The Investigation Department for the city of Krasnoperekopsk established that on one of the nights of June 2022, a drunken young man found an elderly man without a fixed place of residence sleeping in an unfinished building. The attacker inflicted many kicks on the homeless man, who did not resist, after which he fled from the scene of the crime. From multiple serious bodily injuries, unable to call for help, the victim died in an unfinished— reported in the Sledkom.
Based on the results of a significant amount of operational and investigative measures carried out jointly with employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the identity of the person involved in the commission of the crime was established. It turned out to be a previously convicted local resident. In addition, the investigators established the involvement of the suspect also in the theft.
At present, the investigation of the criminal case has been completed. All necessary investigative actions have been taken.
The materials were sent to the prosecutor’s office for examination, signing of the indictment and further forwarding the case to the court for consideration on the merits. The court will make a decision taking into account the newly committed crime by the young man during his parole.
