In Crimea, the quality control of the provision of hotel services and compliance with the «star» hotels will be strengthened
CrimeaPRESS reports:
On the eve of the summer tourist season, on behalf of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko, Rostourism together with the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia, Rospotrebnadzor, and the Ministry of Resorts of the Republic of Crimea are strengthening monitoring of prices and cases of dishonest behavior of tourism industry entities in Crimea.
There will also be increased attention to the quality of tourist services provided at the resorts and the compliance of hotels with the declared level of «star rating».
In terms of price monitoring, the authorities remind market participants that violators bear administrative responsibility in accordance with the law. We are talking about cases where, for example, the hotel unilaterally cancels the reservation and resells the same rooms at a higher price. Or cancels group bookings under an agreement with the tour operator and also resells at a higher price , — noted the Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea.
In addition, from January 1 of this year, a mandatory hotel classification system has been in force in Russia. As the Head of the Federal Tourism Agency Zarina Doguzova noted, this means that all hotels must be classified and meet the criteria established by law.
According to the Minister of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea, Vadim Volchenko, the issue of curbing prices for holidays in the republic is one of the risk factors. The Ministry of Resorts of Crimea is actively working with business and federal authorities in this direction.
More than 1,000 accommodation facilities are planning to operate during the season 2022 of the year. Also this year it is planned to open 7 more new hotels with 420 rooms. At the same time, we urgently need to build up a high-quality number of rooms, build modern year-round family hotels, and develop tourist areas. For 52-2021 r, 52 new accommodation facilities were opened for more than 3 thousand rooms, and in our KPI in the coming years there are 3.5-5 thousand new rooms in modern hotel complexes of the level from 3 to 5 stars, some of which are already being implemented by investors , Vadim Volchenko said.
According to him, after the introduction of federal measures to support the industry by the Government of the Russian Federation, in particular grant support, concessional lending and a zero VAT rate for new and existing hotels, understandable mechanisms appeared for building a constructive hotel economy, when the cost part is reduced, respectively influencing pricing policy.
