In Kerch, vigilant citizens helped the police detain an inappropriate driver

In Kerch, state traffic inspectors stopped a gross violation of traffic rules, which was committed by a local resident who got behind the wheel while drunk.
An alarmed local resident contacted the duty station of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Kerch, who reported that in the courtyard of the house the driver, while driving a car, was behaving suspiciously, driving into flowerbeds and sidewalks, and was possibly intoxicated.
A road patrol crew immediately went to the indicated address and detained the driver. The man had a strong odor of alcohol, slurred speech and an unsteady gait. The man did not deny the fact of drinking alcohol and was tested for intoxication on the spot, the result exceeded the permissible limit by 10 times— reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.
For driving a vehicle in relation to a driver who is in a state of intoxication, administrative material has been drawn up under Part 1 of Art. 12.8 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, the sanction of which provides for the imposition of an administrative fine in the amount of thirty thousand rubles with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of one and a half to two years. The vehicle was detained and placed in a specialized parking lot.
