In Sevastopol, a local resident will stand trial on charges of setting a man on fire

In Sevastopol, the investigation of a criminal case against a 39-year-old local resident has been completed. He is accused of committing a crime under Part 4 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm, dangerous to human life, with special cruelty, negligently resulting in the death of the victim).
The investigation established that on the evening of March 3 2022 in one of the apartments in the city of Sevastopol, while drinking alcohol, a conflict occurred between men who were in a state of alcoholic intoxication on the basis of personal hostile relations. After that, the accused doused the victim with sunflower oil and set it on fire. As a result of the burns, the victim died in the hospital a few hours later , — they said in the Investigative Committee.
During the investigation of the criminal case, evidence was collected confirming the involvement of the accused in the commission of the crime. The investigation of the criminal case has been completed, the materials have been sent to the court for consideration on the merits.
