Thanks to the implementation of the national project «Safe High-Quality Roads» in Sevastopol, a major overhaul of the underground pedestrian crossing on Geroev Sevastopol Street, stop «Matros Koshka» is being carried out. The construction readiness of the underground pedestrian crossing today is 44%.
To date, the contractor has fully completed the reconstruction of the power supply networks and the reconstruction of the external power supply networks, the reconstruction of the trolleybus contact network is 70% complete, the reconstruction of the water supply and sewerage networks is 75%. The installation of walls and stairwells is 79.6% complete, the installation of columns and beams, as well as the major repairs of the tunnel section are fully completed, the ceiling above the entrance groups is 80% complete, finishing work on the walls is 43% complete, the installation of the floors of the passageway and technical rooms is 10% complete, and the power supply of the underground pedestrian crossing is 25% complete. Completion of the work in accordance with the state contract is expected on November 20, 2024. Completion of the repair of the underground pedestrian crossing on the road on Heroes of Sevastopol Street will be a significant step towards increasing the safety of pedestrians and drivers on this section of the road; after completion of the work, the road situation will improve. A thoroughly renovated underground passage will provide a comfortable and safe passage across the road, which is especially important for pedestrians, including school students, as well as universities located nearby.
